A successful multi-preneur with a passion for health and wellness based on science, not medicine.

Andie takes a different approach to mental health; recognising that it isn’t ‘all in our heads’ and talking it out is not always the answer. It is actually in our diets, lifestyles and physical and psychological environments (home, work, people and chemical environments). Indeed, true good mental health starts in the gut. Andie has devised a Building Blocks Model for Good Mental Health, which she shares on the Getaways.

Andie has a First Class Honours degree from the University of London Medical Schools in Human Biology, Nutrition, Anatomy, Neuroscience and Psychology. Since then, Andie has maintained a keen interest in health and lifestyle and has studied aspects of Eastern Medicine as part of her journey to understanding a better way. She has devised techniques to hack her own mind, body and life to get out of the stressful Corporate Rat Race of Accountancy and Banking in the City of London and find a better balance in her life. She has set up thriving businesses in Finance, Property and Health and Wellness and is now living her dream of helping others into a more fulfilled and happy life.

She loves to follow functional medics and lifestyle gurus, and studies motivational material. She spends her free time on adventures travelling the world, at live music gigs and festivals, cooking nutritious food, working out and reading science journals (what a geek)!

Ash Bennett is an experienced chef and wellness coach with over 20 years’ industry experience. He is passionate about self-improvement, eating well for better physical and mental health, energy, concentration and self-esteem. BGK aim to facilitate healthy food choices, spread the word that ‘treats’ can also be healthy, and show that cooking nutritious, delicious meals can be quick, easy and accessible to all.

They are passionate about changing lifestyles to give the freedom to take on any physical challenge.
